Dimensions
If PointRoll is converting an original video file for playing in an ad simply designate the area where you want the video to appear in your creative, allowing room for both the video and it's necessary controls. Please be sure to make the designated video frame in the ad proportional to the original video if it is to be reduced in dimension. Here are some sample target dimensions for videos in PointRoll ads:
Small   160x120
Medium   240x180
Large   320x240
Automatic Play
In Banner or Auto-Displayed panel (like TomBoy):
  •  Audio must be user initiated
  •  Some sites restrict video playing to less than 30 seconds if user doesn’t interact with the ad
In user-initiated panel:
  •  Video and audio can begin playing immediately
Components
PointRoll requires only a graphic representation of your video frame and the controls desired in your ad creative.
Required components:
  • Play & Pause buttons
  • Mute & Unmute buttons
Optional components:
  • Timeline progress indicator
  • Restart button
  • Loading message while video is initiating
Tracking
PointRoll tracks and reports on the following elements as part of our video implementation:
  •  All video control activities including Play, Pause, Mute, Unmute and Rewind if applicable
If the video is streamed, we will also track and report:
  •  Bandwidth detection
  •  Video progress including 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and fully complete
File Structure
If the video is to appear within a Flash piece, please be sure that the panel or banner is completely made up of one .SWF file, not multiple .SWFs loading into each other. Attempting to execute the video in a sub-.SWF may interfere with video playback.
