Trafficking
and
Approval
•  PointRoll will review and approve all advertisements prior to trafficking to the site(s).
•  PointRoll reserves the right to preserve the user experience of its ads, and reserves the right to remove any advertisement which is deemed annoying and/or harmful to users at any time.
•  PointRoll must receive completed creative at least 8 days prior to planned campaign launch.  This allows 3 days of testing, validation and production at PointRoll, and up to 5 days for publisher(s) testing, approval and scheduling.
Serving Scenarios
•  PointRoll must serve the ad unit. The publisher's ad serving system, or their third-party ad server (such as RealMedia, DoubleClick, NetGravity, BlueStreak, ...), will deliver a tag that is trafficked to them by PointRoll.
•  Third-party redirects for tracking impressions and/or clicks are fully supported.
•  SCRIPT, IFRAME, and ILAYER/LAYER tagging are all supported.
•  No page modifications are required for the publisher. PointRoll Ads are served into the same space as current banner advertisements. There are a few special circumstances involving surrounding content that could conflict with PointRoll's technology.
•  ANY ad space dimensions can be used as a PointRoll unit.
Browsers &
Platforms
•  Most modern browsers are supported including Internet Explorer, Mozilla, FireFox, Netscape, and Safari.
•  Click here for a list of versions and platforms.
•  This supported list provides coverage for about 97% of internet usage.
•  All other browser/platform combinations, plus users that don't have any plugins used within an ad, are served a default image banner that is always supplied by the advertiser along with the PointRoll creative.
Frequency Capping
Unit can be capped by the PointRoll Ad Delivery Platform to a specified number of impressions for an individual user during any period of time down to a single hour. The user can be provided either an alternate PointRoll unit or a default image once the cap is met.
Flash Detection
PointRoll's Ad Delivery Platform can, when required or requested, detect installed version of the Flash plug-in and provide appropriate ad content. If Flash 6 is used for any pieces within a PointRoll ad, detection is used to provide alternate PointRoll content. If no alternate PointRoll unit is built, then those users will be delivered a default image.
