Leading Rich Media Provider Adds Four Executives to the West Coast Team, With Plans to Hire More Designers and Operations Talent

New York, NY – May 27, 2009 – PointRoll, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gannett Co., Inc. and the leading provider of rich media technology solutions, has announced that the west coast sales and operations team will grow significantly over the next few months to meet the demands of the online advertising industry. Kicking off the expansion are the return of two savvy veterans to the Los Angeles office, Ray McIntosh, newly named Sales Director, West Coast and Chris Baughman, AVP Creative Strategy. In addition, Dana Summers has been appointed to the position of Account Executive, Pacific Northwest, and Rhiannon Ubelhor has been hired as an Account Executive, Auto, for the Los Angeles post.

The growing gold coast sales team is lead by Dea Lawrence, VP West Coast, who joined the company in March 2008. Under her leadership PointRoll has increased its focus on auto, technology, entertainment, retail and CPG accounts, including ground breaking executions for Fox Home Entertainment, Focus Features, Paramount Pictures, Jack in the Box, Nintendo, Charles Schwab, US Cellular, Acura, and Toyota.  Innovations include click for full screen HD, the first iphone rich media ad, and micro blogging directly from a banner unit.

At PointRoll McIntosh will focus on select studio and auto accounts as well as work closely with top creative agencies. He brings over fifteen years of ad sales experience to the position. McIntosh was most recently the Director of the Western Region for Source Interlink, a leading integrated media, publishing, merchandising and distribution company where he oversaw Western US operations. Prior to that, he directed sales at Reactrix Systems and Centro, LLC.  This is his second stint with PointRoll, having worked as a Regional Advertising Manager from 2004-2006.

Baughman returns to PointRoll after serving as Associate Creative Director with Crew Creative Advertising, where he oversaw their display business and led a team in the development and execution of rich media campaigns from conception to design and build-out. Prior to being hired as AVP Creative Strategy, he was at PointRoll as an art director, working with clients to help brands and creative agencies understand the possibilities of rich media. In his new role, Baughman will work with clients to leverage new and innovative technologies, train internal teams and manage trend benchmarking and best practices. Baughman is based in the Los Angeles office.

Summers comes to PointRoll with strong knowledge of the online advertising space, after building and managing client relationships for several Fortune 500 companies at AdBrite.  She will continue to own key client and agency relationships at PointRoll as Account Executive for the Pacific Northwest with a focus on technology sales. Summers is based in the San Francisco office.

Prior to joining PointRoll, Ubelhor shifted from a background in media marketing to selling with Conde Nast’s Brides.com where she worked as an Account Manager with top clients such as Bloomingdales, Scott Kay and Watters & Watters as well as growing their southern territory.  Ubelhor started her career in online advertising at Deutsch LA on the Mitsubishi account as well as Coors Brewing Co and TGI Fridays.  She has also held media planning and account positions at Universal McCann, phd Media, TeamOne Advertising, and Carat Fusion.
