Dynamic Data
Thanks to the flexibility and power of PointRoll's Ad Delivery Platform, the content within the panels of any size PointRoll Ad can be based on dynamic data. This Dynamic Content can be based on a web page, a web-accessible database or a web service that provides data or information to the advertiser's clients, suppliers or vendors. In addition, the content can be updated according to a timeframe specified by the advertiser.

How It Works
PointRoll's unique Dynamic Content Manager component is provided with the interface definition to acquire the dynamic information from the specified data source. This definition is coupled with scheduling data that defines how often the information is updated (by month, week, day, minute, or anywhere in between). The Content Manager acquires the information, independent of the Ad Delivery so it does not affect advertisement delivery performance, and forwards it to the Ad Delivery System to be inserted into the ad based on the template that dictates the ad unit's visual layout.

| Implementation |
| 1. |
Build a PointRoll Ad as usual using a snap-shot of the dynamic content. |
| 2. |
Define to your PointRoll sales representative what content should be dynamically populated and the data source for this dynamic content. This source can be a dynamic web-page on your web site, a web-accessible database, or a web-service that provides data or information to your clients, suppliers or vendors. |
| 3. |
PointRoll support engineers create a content template based on your Ad's visual layout and dynamic data requirements, and then hook-up the required interfaces in the Dynamic Content Manager component of our Ad Delivery Platform. See the architecture layout diagram which shows how this interface feeds the advertisement with your up-to-date information. The turn-around for this template and interface development process can be anywhere from a couple hours to a couple days depending upon the complexity of the data involved. |
 |
| 4. |
The PointRoll Ad goes through the usual QA process to validate, optimize and publish the advertisement for production delivery. |
| 5. |
The publisher(s) receive standard PointRoll Ad tags, since the entire dynamic content delivery is done behind the scenes without publisher or advertiser intervention. |
